Terms & Conditions

Last updated: April 2026 · Version v1.0-2026-04

Interim version

This is an interim Terms document. A full merchant, driver, and customer agreement pack is being drafted by counsel and will replace this page on release. By using Rapido services today, you agree to the terms below.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using Rapido delivery services or accessing rapido.mu or bayzon.mu, you agree to these terms and conditions. Rapido is operated by Solvify Limited (BRN C25221555), a company registered in Mauritius and governed by the laws of Mauritius.

2. Services

Rapido provides parcel delivery, logistics, and marketplace (Bayzon) services. We connect merchants with delivery drivers to facilitate parcel transportation across Mauritius, and host merchant storefronts for customers to shop online.

3. User Accounts

Users must provide accurate information when creating accounts. Phone numbers must be valid Mauritian numbers (8 digits). Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their accounts. Rapido may suspend or terminate accounts for fraud, repeated policy violations, or unlawful activity.

4. Delivery Terms

Delivery times are estimates and may vary based on availability, weather, and traffic conditions. Rapido is not liable for delays beyond our control. Cash on Delivery amounts must be accurate and confirmed upon collection. Failed deliveries may be retried or returned to the merchant per the RTO (Return to Merchant) policy in effect.

5. Payments

All prices are in Mauritian Rupees (MUR). Payment methods include Cash on Delivery (COD), Juice mobile payment, and online payment via the MIPS gateway. COD collected by drivers is deposited with Rapido and reconciled daily.

6. Wallet & Automatic Deductions (Merchants)

Rapido operates a wallet system for merchant settlement. Customer payments (COD collected or MIPS prepaid) are held by Rapido pending settlement. Merchants authorize Rapido to deduct the following amounts from their wallet balance or settlement payout, at the rates published in the admin configuration at the time of the transaction:

  • Platform commission on Bayzon marketplace sales
  • Per-pickup delivery fees based on the tier the driver's pickup falls into
  • COD handling charges on Cash on Delivery orders
  • RTO (Return to Merchant) fees per the active RTO policy

Net settlement (customer payments minus authorized deductions) is paid to the merchant's bank account on the agreed cadence. Wallet balances are not interest-bearing.

7. Fee Changes

Rapido reserves the right to adjust commission rates, delivery fee tiers, COD handling fees, and RTO policy. Changes that affect existing merchants will take effect with at least 30 days' notice delivered via email or the merchant dashboard. Continued use of Rapido services after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the updated fees.

8. Liability

Rapido's liability for any lost, damaged, or undelivered parcel is capped at Rs 5,000 per parcel, unless a higher coverage has been separately agreed in writing. Rapido is not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages. Merchants are responsible for declaring accurate parcel contents and value at booking.

9. Bayzon Product Listings (Merchants)

Merchants listing products on Bayzon grant Rapido a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable license to use, reproduce, display, and distribute the merchant's product listings, images, descriptions, and trademarks solely for the purpose of operating the Bayzon marketplace, including marketing and promotional use. Merchants represent that they have the right to upload such content and that it does not infringe third-party rights. Rapido may remove listings that violate intellectual property or marketplace policies.

10. Driver Obligations (Drivers)

Drivers must hold a valid Mauritian driving licence for the vehicle class in use, maintain roadworthy vehicles, handle parcels with care, and accurately report pickups, deliveries, COD collection, and attendance via the Rapido driver app. Repeated no-shows, COD discrepancies, or safety violations are grounds for deactivation.

11. Returns & Refunds

Return requests must be initiated within the applicable return window set by the merchant. Return delivery costs are borne per the policy in effect at the time of the return. Refund options include monetary refund, exchange, or store credit.

12. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Mauritius. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be resolved first through good-faith negotiation, and failing that, in the Supreme Court of Mauritius.
